“PSU HRMA has benefitted me immensely by connecting me to professionals in the area. It also has created a space for students to become more involved with human resources outside of their classes. The community at PSU HRMA is wonderful- we are really here to help each other succeed and grow into whatever HR roles we choose. I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with such motivated students and help guide our members to resources and opportunities to further them on their professional paths."

"I’m very passionate about employee relations as well as compliance and benefits. After graduating from OSU in 2013 with a BA in Spanish, I started working at Starbucks. I decided to return to school in 2017 and further develop my skills in order to advance my career! I look forward to being a part of leadership this year and keeping the books organized!"

"After working in entry-level HR positions for five years I realized that to really be effective I would need a degree. Returning to school has been incredible; PSU HRMA is part of what has made it incredible. It is a great way to reinforce HR studies by providing talks with professionals from the community and endless networking opportunities. I am excited for the opportunity to do whatever I can to support the club"

"I joined HRMA here at Portland State University to get more involved on campus and network with fellow colleagues. I quickly found myself at home with the sense of community the group shares and later ran for this position. My goals here are to broaden this sense of camaraderie to other avenues within The Portland State School of Business. In other words, put HRMA on the map! I look forward to serving the HRMA while building lasting relationships and having lots of fun in the meantime. I mean come on, it's HR club!"

"I am a senior here at PSU double majoring in Human Resource Management and Management and Leadership with a graduation date of March of 2019.  I was born and raised in the greater Portland area and love the Northwest and everything it has to offer.

I wanted to bring my skills in written and verbal communications to HRMA by accepting the VP of External Communications position.  I also appreciate the training and educational opportunities it offers through our work with PHRMA.

I am most interested in Compensation and Benefits and Employee Relations to promote employee satisfaction and retention, however I look forward to exploring all aspects of the HR field through HRMA."

She is the Vice President of Programs for the Portland State SHRM chapter, helping students network and get engaged in the HR profession.
