2019 - 2020 Student Leaders
"Jaden is a PSU senior double majoring in Human Resource Management and Management & Leadership with an International Business Certificate graduating in Spring 2020. Jaden, an Oregon Coast native who came to PSU with a college dream, claims that PSU HRMA helped her solidify the career path, which is why she wants to give back by being on the HRMA leadership team. She is honored to be the PSU HRMA's President this 2019-2020 school year because the organization is a student HR community where she has met many amazing leaders who constantly allow her to meet and learn from HR professionals in a way that the classroom does not. When not at school, you can find Jaden playing volleyball and enjoying the outdoors."

Returning to school has been incredible; PSU HRMA is part of what has made it incredible. Monique Tessier | V.P. of Fundraising
Monique Tessier is a senior at Portland State University, double majoring in Human Resources and Management/Leadership; with a personal goal to complete her SHRM-CP by 2020. She is the Vice President of Fundraising for the Portland State SHRM HRMA chapter, which allows her to network with HR professionals and help raise money for the chapter. Out of school, she is very involved in the community, working with different non-profit events to bring awareness to humanitarian issues such as working with Human Solutions to find affordable housing to eliminate homelessness in the Portland area. Monique moved to Portland two years ago from Miami, FL and likes to soak in the seasons she didn't get back home. When she is not working or at school you can find her depending on the season, on top of a mountain snowboarding, hiking or just exploring the outdoors.

In 2018, I came back to PSU to add to my professional toolkit. I am a postbaccalaureate student pursuing a double major in HR and Management and Leadership and will graduate in Winter 2020. Being a member of PSU HRMA has provided a great opportunity to meet current and future HR professionals from a variety of backgrounds, as well as gain valuable insights from working professionals. I am proud to be a part of the leadership team.

"Kaden Fleming is a senior at Portland State University, majoring in Human Resources, Accounting and Management/Leadership; with intern experience as a business analyst in information technology and sales. He is the Co-Vice President of programs for the Portland State SHRM HRMA chapter, which allows him to network and connect with HR professionals while also reaching out to professionals to share experiences with students in the chapter. Out of school, Kaden is working at his part-time job at Starbucks, and consistantly searching for opportunities and ideas that help bring his career goals into focus. When he isn’t working or at school you can find Kaden exploring the Portland area for the best food and coffee options with his friends, hiking, and even snowboarding on top of the mountain."

I have fallen in love with HR data and analytics, and am very fortunate and excited to be continuing my education at PSU in the HR Analytics graduate certificate program while serving another year on the HRMA leadership team.

Nour Obeidi | Chapter Secretary
Hello! My name is Nour Obeidi and I am a junior at Portland State University pursuing a double major in Human Resources Management & Management and Leadership. I work at the SALP office at PSU and strive to maintain high ethical standards in the workplace. PSU HRMA will not only open doors to many opportunities in the HR field but will also broaden my knowledge and skills. I am the Chapter Secretary of HRMA and I will be authorized to maintain records of all chapter activities and will always be willing to support my team in any way possible.
